The Miami Heat is challenging all schools to reduce energy, water, and food waste from November through March as compared to the school usage from the same period last year.

Registration begins in October. Challenge dates: Nov-March BCPS Public Schools, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade school districts

Computer Science Education Week

Every December, we celebrate Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) for an entire month! This is an annual call to action to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science, advocate for equity in computer science education, and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and partners to the field.

VEX robotics at BCPS are divided into two categories: VEX IQRC (elementary and middle) and VEX V5RC (middle and high school)

BCPS esports

BCPS esports in education provides new opportunities for students to engage in their school community and foster teamwork. BCPS esports at Broward County Public Schools started in 2022 and is now in various schools.

Broward Youth Climate Summit

Broward Youth Climate Summit logo

The annual Broward Youth Climate Summit provides a platform for BCPS students in grades 5-12 to engage in climate solutions, learn about professional careers related to climate change, advocate for policy change, and promote environmental sustainability.
