Course Syllabus

Artifex is a literary art magazine that showcases both the literary and the artistic talent at MSD. Students on the literary magazine staff submit their own work, solicit submissions from other students, develop a theme, pair artwork and writing pieces, and design the pages of the magazine. This is an ongoing process from August to April. Students who are interested in leadership positions can apply for open literary magazine editor positions.

Any student at MSD can submit their writing (poetry, prose, non-fiction, screenplays, etc.) or their artwork (photography, mixed media, paintings, drawings, digital art, etc) to be considered for publishing. Submissions can be emailed to litmagmsd@gmail.com

Artifex is both a club and a class. Typically editors are also in the Creative Writing 3, 4 or 5 honors classes. However, students do not have to be in the class to join the magazine staff.
