This is the official landing page of Everglades High School’s art program, featuring news and updates about what we’re making, studying, and working towards for the year. This site is meant to help you, the student/parent/friend, navigate what is happening in our art classroom. This site will feature each class and will layout curricular objectives and expectations, rubrics, lessons, in-class and out-of-class assignments, and student artwork.
In studio art here at Everglades, Students experiment with different media and techniques used to create two-dimensional artworks. Through the development of skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and design. Students will practice, sketch, and manipulate the structural elements of art to improve mark making and the organizational principles of design in composition from observation, research, and imagination. Through the critique process, students evaluate and respond to their work and the work of their peers. Each Course incorporates hands-on activities and consumption of art materials.
