ANNOUNCEMENTS – 9/27/21
“Throughout the years, the immigration of Hispanic people to the U.S. has played a huge part on the American culture, bringing many new traditions to the table. Some of these are widely known such as Cinco de Mayo, which celebrates the Mexicans win at the Battle of Puebla against France. This holiday helps promote ethnic consciousness as well as identity. Another tradition that came from Latin America are the Piñatas, which are brightly colored party ornament made from either a clay container or cardboard, and they’re used in kids’ birthday parties and even other celebrations. They’re originated from Mexico but are extremely popular throughout all of Latin America. These are just a couple of the many traditions Latin people have spread throughout the US.
On another note, we invite all of the students to wear their country’s sport jersey on Friday to celebrate our heritage with a lot of spirit!”
Thank you,
